A heavy cropper with amazing finger-like fruits!

1. Original Name: Black Casady.

2. History: Bred by tomato breeder Tom Wagner (USA) from a cross between Green Grape and Striped Roman. A sister to Sweet Casady from the same line. Developed in 2013.

3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. It can produce fruits for a long time. A good choice for a greenhouse and outdoors. Firm tall bush, growing up to 6.5 feet (200 cm) tall and even higher. Thick stem, regular leaf. Regular truss, 6-9 small finger-like fruits per truss.

4. Training Instructions: The bush can be trained to two or three main stems. Pruning and staking are a must.

5. Shape and Weight: Long and smooth cylindrical fruits having the diameter of about 0.6-0.8 in. (1.5-2 cm) and being 4-4.7 in. (10-12 cm) long. Weight: 1.4-2.8 oz. (40-80 g).

6. Color: Brown with dark olive-green stripes. Very beautiful. Red in a cut.

7. Flavor Profile: Sweet with a pleasant spicy aftertaste. The flesh is firm, and the walls are thick.

8. Culinary Use: A good choice for salads, sauces and paste. Ideal for canning whole tomatoes. If you remove the seeds, you can also use the flesh for sun-drying.
Black Casady grows well and is a heavy cropper with beautiful fruits. In his forum, Tom Wagner says that this tomato has tiny seeds. This is really so, and we had few seeds. They were very small so we hardly managed to get them though we had a lot of fruits.
