1. Original Name: Captain Lucky.

2. History: A variety from the USA. A result of an accidental cross between Lucky Cross and an unknown variety. Stabilized by Millard Murdock of East Flat Rock (North Carolina, USA). First introduced in the Seed Savers 2011 Yearbook.

3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. Tall bush, growing up to 6 feet (180 cm) tall.

4. Training Instructions: It is recommended to train the bush to two main stems, and staking and pruning are a must.

5. Shape and Weight: Salad-type beefsteak fruits. Weight: 5.3-10.6 oz. (150-300 g).

6. Color: The fruits are green near the stem end while the rest of the fruit later turns bronze and yellow with pink marbling in the upper part and on each side. Green in a cut being pink in the middle.

7. Flavor Profile: Very pleasant and very sweet taste being slightly tart and having a fruity and tomato flavor. The flesh is juicy and buttery.

8. Culinary Use: A good choice for fresh salads, juices and sauces.
