1. Original Name: Cherokee Chocolate.2. History: Selected and stabilized from Cherokee Purple by well-known tomato breeder Craig LeHoullier in 1995. While Cherokee Purple fruits are dark crimson and purple, Cherokee Chocolate fruits are red and brown.
3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. A good choice for outdoors and a greenhouse. Indeterminate, tall bush, growing up to 6.5 feet (200 cm) tall. Thick stem, regular leaf. Regular truss, 3-5 fruits per truss.
4. Training Instructions: It is recommended to train the bush to two or three main stems. Staking and pruning are a must.
5. Shape and Weight: Beefsteak fruits of the salad type having shallow ribs near the stem end. Weight: 7-10.6 oz. (200-300 g).
6. Color: Red and brown or chocolate with dark green shoulders. The flesh is dark red with green seed cavities.
7. Flavor Profile: A very rich taste with the right balance of sweetness and tartness, a spicy tomato flavor and soft and juicy flesh.
