A real waterfall with fruits instead of water!
1. Original Name: Niagara. It got its name due to its being a heavy cropper and having trusses of fruits resembling a waterfall.
2. History: Originally introduced by Agros Agrotechnology Company. Entered on the State Register of the Russian Federation in 2010.
3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season, a good choice for a greenhouse or outdoors. Indeterminate, tall bush, growing up to 6.5 feet (200 cm) tall. Thick stem, regular leaf. Regular truss, 6-8 fruits per truss.
4. Training Instructions: It is preferable to train the bush to one, two or three main stems. Pruning and staking are a must.
5. Shape and Weight: Long and smooth pepper-shaped fruits. Weight: 2.1-2.8 oz. (60-80 g).
6. Color: Red, red in a cut as well.
7. Flavor Profile: Sweet and slightly acidic, gentle taste, tomato flavor. Sandy flesh, thick walls.
8. Culinary Use: A good choice for salads, sandwiches or sauces. Perfect for canning whole tomatoes.
The Niagara bushes were a marvelous sight! There were immense clusters. The bushes could hardly bear them.
