1. Original Name: Sunrise Bumblebee.
2. History: Bred by Artisan Seeds (Fred Hempel) in 2012.
3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season for outdoors or medium early for a greenhouse. Tall bush, Indeterminate, growing 5-6 feet (150-180 cm) tall. Thin stem, regular leaf. Regular truss, 5-7 fruits per truss.
4. Training Instructions: It is preferable to train the bush to three or four main stems, and pruning and staking are a must.
5. Shape and Weight: Smooth round or egg-shaped fruits. Weight: 0.7-0.9 oz. (20-25 g).
6. Color: A bright and attractive color! Swirls of pink and crimson streaks on the honey yellow background. Yellow in a cut, with a luminous pink color when fully ripe.
7. Flavor Profile: Very sweet, fruity and exotic taste. The flesh is juicy and buttery.
8. Culinary Use: Perfect for eating fresh in salads or snacks for kids. A good choice for canning. The skin is firm and has no cracks.
Sunrise Bumblebee is a recent variety but it has been released as a stable one. In our conditions this variety has met the specifications and produced very tasty and sweet fruits. It can produce fruits until a frost!
