1. Original Name: Uptown Funk.
2. History: Bred by Blane Horton (Galactic Magic Seeds). A recent variety from the Mason Dixon Project, with the lineage including Pink Berkeley Tie Dye, Indigo Rose and Malakhitovaya Shkatulka (Malachite Box). The variety was named after Uptown Funk, a popular song by Mark Ronson.
3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. A good choice for a greenhouse and outdoors. Indeterminate, tall bush, growing up to 6 feet (180 cm) tall. Thick stem, regular leaf. There are 4-6 fruits per truss.
4. Training Instructions: It is recommended to train the bush to two or three main stems, and staking and pruning are a must.
5. Shape and Weight: Smooth flattened and round fruits. Weight: 2.8-3.5 oz. (80-100 g).
6. Color: There are olive and green stripes decorating the red and brown background with antho on the shoulders.
7. Flavor Profile: Unbelievably tasty and full-flavored! Sweet with a bright full spicy flavor. The flesh is meaty and resembles that of apricots.
8. Culinary Use: A good choice for fresh salads, sun-drying, freezing, thick and full-flavored sauces.
