1. Original Name: Victorian Dwarf No. 1.

2. History: An old heirloom from Australia that was popular in the 1960s. Donated to the USDA in 1967. Offered in the Seed Savers 1996 Yearbook by Craig LeHoullier. Not related to the Dwarf Tomato Project.

3. Plant Specifications: Early-season. Suitable for growing outdoors. Sprawling short bush, growing up to 1.6 feet (50 cm) tall. Thick stem, regular leaf. There are 4-6 fruits per truss.

4. Training Instructions: No pruning is required. The short bushes with heavy fruits may fall on the ground so it is recommended to tie all of the longest stems or to mulch the plant using agrotextile.

5. Shape and Weight: Flattened and round fruits, sometimes with rare shallow ribs. Weight: 2.5-3.5 oz. (70-100 g).

6. Color: Bright red, and the flesh is red and crimson in a cut.

7. Flavor Profile: Very tasty, sweet and slightly acidic, a pleasant taste with a refreshing tomato flavor. The walls are thick and meaty but the flesh is very juicy.

8. Culinary Use: A perfect variety for the first fresh salads, juices, sauces and canning whole tomatoes.
