2. History: Developed from a cross between Red Carolina Reaper and Chocolate Trinidad Moruga Scorpion. In December 2013, this chili pepper was certified by Guinness World Records as the world’s hottest chili pepper. Scoville scale: 1,500,000-2,200,000 SHU. It is a real monster among chili peppers!
3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. It can produce fruits for a long time. A good choice for growing in a greenhouse and outdoors. Medium-size plant growing 2.3-3.3 feet (70-100 cm) tall.
4. Training Instructions: No staking or pruning is required. The bush is stable.
5. Shape and Weight: Tear-shaped fruits with the concave upper part and a tail. There are some ribs with rare bumps. Weight: 0.3-0.5 oz. (10-15 g).
6. Color: The fruits are dark green at the mature-green stage and dark brown or chocolate when fully ripe.
7. Flavor Profile: The flesh is sweet and crisp. Fruity and smoky flavor. Really hot. Be careful if you are not used to eating chili peppers.
8. Culinary Use: You can eat it fresh bit by bit or use these fruits to make unique superhot sauces. The flesh can be sun-dried or frozen.
