1. Original Name: Flanders Contrast.

2. History: Developed by well-known tomato breeder Tom Wagner (USA) in 2007. In 2014, it became practically stable. Flanders is one of the three administrative regions of Belgium and it used to be inhabited by Celts in ancient times.

3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. A good choice for a greenhouse and outdoors. Indeterminate, tall bush, growing up to 6.5 feet (200 cm) tall. Thick stem, regular leaf. Regular truss, 4-7 fruits per truss.

4. Training Instructions: It can be trained to two or three main stems, and staking and pruning are a must.

5. Shape and Weight: Pear-shaped fruits. Weight: 2.8-5.6 oz. (80-160 g).

6. Color: At the mature-green stage, the green background of the fruits turns lilac-colored when exposed to the sun. The green color of the fruits turns rather yellow or bronze when fully ripe. Splashes of anthocyanin on the shoulders turn blue. Emerald-green in a cut.

7. Flavor Profile: Very delicious! A combination of wonderful sweetness, exotic fruity flavor and buttery flesh make this variety stand out among common varieties.

8. Culinary Use: Perfect for fresh salads and full-flavored and tasty sauces. A good choice for sun-drying if you remove the seeds (the walls are thick).
