PACKAGING: Sachet Zip lock 12 - 15 SEEDS
A release by the Dwarf Tomato Project. A heavy cropper with beautiful chocolate fruit.
1. Original Name: Tasmanian Chocolate.
2. History: A cross between New Big Dwarf and Paul Robeson made by Patrina Nuske Small (Australia) in 2006. Further selected, stabilized and named by Linda Reid of Tasmania. Though there is no 'Dwarf' word in its name but it is a release of the Dwarf Tomato Project.
3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. A good choice for growing outdoors. Determinate, medium-size bush, growing up to 3.3 feet (100 cm) tall. Thick stem, regular leaf. Regular truss, 3-4 fruits per truss.
4. Training Instructions: No training or pruning is required. However, staking is recommended because this is a bush-type variety.
5. Shape and Weight: Salad-type beefsteak fruits. Weight: 3.5-7 oz. (100-200 g).
6. Color: Intense brick-red and brown or chocolate. There are barely visible greenish spots on the shoulders, which is a particular feature of this variety. Very beautiful. Dark red in a cut.
7. Flavor Profile: A bright and intense sweet and acidic taste with a well-balanced spicy flavor. Very delicious.
8. Culinary Use: A good choice for salads, juices and sauces. Do not keep well as the fruits get too soft.
Tasmanian Chocolate was released as a stable variety. Our bushes and fruits met the original characteristics. Very beautiful large fruits looking like toys.
